Plantation session

Crystal ran out of time before her big day to get a portrait done. So, we decided instead to find a cool place where we could get some shots of her and her new husband, Josh. When I was a reporter out in Eastern Wake County, I wrote a story about Beaver Dam Plantation in Knightdale. At the time, the home was being renovated to its original glory. The owners took painstaking steps to ensure the property would be, in almost every detail, the same as it was built in 1810.

And it makes for a beautiful backdrop for a beautiful couple.

Shane,

I knew without a doubt, the first time I saw your photojournalistic approach to photography, that you would have you be a part of my wedding (even though I was yet to be engaged!)

Josh and I had such an amazing time at Beaverdam Plantation!!

We are so grateful for the unforgettable images that you captured during our engagement session and bridal session as well as the photos you gave us that narrated the story of our wedding day. We are even more grateful for your thoughtfulness, attention to detail, willingness to go above and beyond and artistic approach to what you do. You were really able to reflect who we are as a couple. Even though there may be a split second that we wonder why you are lying on the ground, shooting through a glass door or hiding behind a stairwell, we trust you, because those are the images that we cherish most!

You have captured moments that our children, grandchildren, and great grand-children will one day see, and without question, they will look at our faces in each of those invaluable moments, and know just how we were feeling, at that specific moment, on that specific day. From our engagement photos, to the wedding, and now these, thank you for being there to help us remember these times.
